About the Project
Many start-ups and young entrepreneurs bringing fresh and disruptive ideas to the market lack an expertise on circular business models and cannot benefit from sustainable market opportunities.
CircularStart addresses this challenge, and aims at delivering new innovative training material on sustainable and circular business models. During the project, the learning material will be tested with incubators and, finally, published on this website.
With an increased know-how on Circular Economy, start-ups can evaluate and improve the environmental, social and economic impacts of their business ideas right from the beginning.
The project brings together 9 partners from four EU countries. The project is a 2-year ERASMUS+ Strategic Partnership, funded by the European Union through SEPIE, the Spanish National Agency for International Education.
Updates and current project activities
Update March 2021 – After developing a first draft of the online course (see below) we are currently in the process of testing the course materials and gathering feedback from the incubators and start-ups. The testing takes place in four countries: Austria, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain.
Online Course / Guidance Tool
What is the Circular Economy and why is it important? Which social, ecological and economical benefits does a circular business model offer? How can we implement circular business strategies into our model?
These and many more questions will be answered during the online course on Circular Business Models. To get started we recommend to check out the Guidance Tool in advance, where you can get an overview of the course structure and the most relevant learning units dependent on your current „Circular Economy Readiness Level“.
The online course is divided into four course modules based on the themes Ideation, Integration, Validation and Implementation. The contents are designed as a self-paced learning experience and are available for free.
